The construction of Uganda’s second international airport, Kabale International Airport located in Hoima, entered its first phase in 2018 and has now achieved 96.1% completion. The project, designed to drive significant economic growth, is anticipated to be completed by August 13, 2025. ORAT activities include the testing of all systems, training of staff, and the operational readiness of logistics and equipment, all of which will contribute to the seamless transition from construction to full functionality.
